What a beautiful day to be on the tranquil waters of Lake Michigan. There was no sign of those violent crashing waves that pounded the shoreline yesterday, only the pristine dunes. The shorelines were flanked by an avenue of towering sand dunes known as The Sleeping Bear Dunes. Covering a 35 mile long stretch, these dunes are a spectacular site to see.
Our final destination was Jacobson Marina. It is a quaint little marina that offered a friendly and warm welcome from the owners, John and Lori. After tying up the boat securely, we gave her a well deserved bath. Detailing her until she gleamed.
